I turn off game chat in most games that I play

I leave it on for Division 2 in the pvp areas because the stuff that comes out of people's mouths from brain damage and/or not being a native English speaker is hilarious. I had somebody rage at me in-game tossing out all kinds of slurs because I killed him once after I told him to fuck off while I was farming NPC enemies, and he interpreted that sentence as me saying I was farming him even though I killed him just one time

If you knowingly go into a game that allows this, you have accepted terms of engagement, and thus this potential result.

Seems like the whole point in some games. As long as they're not throwing around slurs, shit talking should be entirely expected.
