Hulu, Peacock, HBO, Youtube Red, ALL of that streaming stuff. Is it worth it really?

Twitch and Youtube with a good adblocker gives me more free entertainment than I could ever consume.

That's not good enough? You have to pay $100+ a year for something else. Whatever floats your boat man.

People ask me why I'm able to afford like 20 new video games a year. The answer is I don't have ANY subscription services like that - at all. Not even Nintendo's whatever.

Amazon Prime is the only thing I have, and that's literally just for the free shipping, which for me pays for itself in like 2 months.

I know people who subscribe to like 3 or 4 of these services - literally can't even watch them all and paying hundreds for it. What is you doing baby?

But also my fiancee and I use Netflix and HBO regularly and we also have Amazon Prime. She gets Disney+ and Hulu through her phone service.

Netflix with ads is $7 and works with an ad blocker too.

There's nothing on Twitch I want to watch, and the only things I watch on YouTube are music videos and 5 minute clips from old shows.

I have Amazon for the music and shopping, Netflix as part of my Sky TV package, and a shared Disney with other family members.

Well.....like yeah. I don't get it. Unless you watch it like every single day or lots and LOTS of content. Otherwise......couldn't you just buy the shows you want on Blu-ray?

I'm not a TV guy nor am I in the loop. But it's hard for me to get behind the notion of paying so much and owning nothing at the end of it - it's not far away from pay per view.

I guess it's the impermanence of it all that bugs me. Constantly paying to view things that you could probably pay less to view without any conditionals around them.

i rarely rewatch anything enough to justify the cost of owning it
i don't want that bullshit cluttering up my space
