Having Trump put in the justices who would overturn Roe v Wade which and the number of states who were ready to completely and thoroughly overturn abortion, some so doing so in such a severe way that it punishes women who for whatever reason would be harmed by the pregnancy.

Recently, there has been a much more intense rise of anti-lgbtq sentiments. While lgbtq individuals have always been marginalized in the USA, the legal attacks against their existence are much more severe than ever before.

I'd say something about racism civil rights, but black and other people of color have always been killed off easily by the police often with no severe consequences for the officers who committed those acts of violence or worse. A number of red states have made it harder for people to vote.

How long have the actors on the right been building toward this?

For a while, cause they were ready for it. Its all in a bid to hold onto power longer than they should.
