There hasn't been much progress on the specific front I'm referring to.

well, if a just-fertilized fetus has the same rights as any other person, and that right of personhood attaches at a time when you would have to do intrusive testing to find out, all of the discussion we are enjoying here today becomes much less significant.

Not necessarily. I had always treated my now wife in a similar fashion as the men in my social group

No idea what this means. I didnt lie to get dates, whether lying about myself and my intentions, or even feigning interest in things to make her think we have commonalities. I am honest.

Why? That has nothing to do with me.

I'm an economic progressive so by happenstance the grand majority of politicians I would potentially vote for support reproductive rights, but I am never going out of my way to support any cause that doesn't directly benefit me. That's how the world works for some of us.

Anyway incels tend to support heavy abortion bans because they believe it would force women to give greater consideration to financially dependable behaviorally stable men, instead of just the ones they find immediately attractive (who may not be suitable for starting a family). Incels are extremely frustrated about how no matter how good the content of their moral character is they can't succeed in dating, and have thrown all sense of basic human decency away in response. The community is evil incarnate in ways a lot of people don't get, hence why I try to argue against the conditions that allow it to grow.

They won't, that's the point. I just like pointing out hypocrisy.

Demagogues and cults feed off the feelings of resentment of people who gave their all to some group or cause only to never receive any sort of helping hand in return. Like how Trump plays up countries receiving foreign aid and corporate investment as "taking advantage of us" and a bunch of fossil fuel guys who lost their jobs to outsourcing deify him as the savior. Or how the red pill shouts out that nice guys finish last and it's time to be an asshole and a bunch of guys in their 20s who've heard many a female friend weep about their jerk boyfriends but who've never even kissed a girl themselves conclude that the hidden truth of life has been revealed to them.

In order to not be dragged down into true hatred I just cut myself off from helping anyone early. Can't be played for a sucker if you don't play.

A person truly apathetic would just take any shade thrown in their direction and not even debate on the subject.

lots of people have standards, but most of those people make exceptions to those standards whenever they damn well please
