This was announced at the Japanese Nintendo Direct last week. Seems pretty low budget, but might end up okay?

two things, i'll be honest that i hadn't actually heard anything saying it was actually from versus XIII devs, only that all the immediate (scant) remarks on it after going up were comparing it to it and verum rex, so it's interesting to learn now that it actually does have relevant staff too

also i think it was arti that said something like "this looks exactly like something NISA will localize" when i brought it up last week during the downtime here and i'm amused that was proven correct so soon

anyway yeah especially after this trailer it's clear the game is facing severe optimisation issues and i'm especially worried about how it'll be on switch now but it's still def on my radar

now if only nisa could start localising more of their own titles, i'm still disappointed asatsugutori didn't make it over and xicatrice and now also maybe bar stella abyss look like they might be following the same trend...

Performance issues in the trailer aside, the animation in this game looks hilariously jank - but it still looks like it has enough of a vibe going that I'd be willing to check it out.

I know about Versus XIII, I just have no clue what to expect from its developers

For some reason I thought I had seen that this was Trails devs, not Versus XIII. When I watched the trailer....that reinforced Trails devs, so I didn't question it <_<;

Versus XIII devs doesn't fill me with much confidence, after they meandered around for 10 years and left the XV team holding the bag by forcing them to release what little they did finish.

in all fairness, by "versus xiii team" what i've gathered that really means is it has nojima (and shimomura) on it really

of course furyu (whose most notable works to date are crystar/crymachina and the caligula series, none of which they developed themselves lol), and natsume atari (who barely exist now outside of the eiyuden chronicle spinoff they did a year or two ago) aren't exactly the most inspirational devs either

Oh, this is that game I saw someone say two of the characters look like Bennett and Yelan from Genshin Impact the other day.
