I heard yes.

But I also heard that this is a low hurdle to take as soon as you have beaten D4 story once.

If I were not so busy with other games right now, I would take a look myself, but I certaintly have an eye on it.

Better than D4 by a country mile. The only problem Last Epoch has is the massive influx of player wrecking the matchmaking system. Prior to launch, the game had about 2k concurrent users. It peaked yesterday around 250k, so there has been some obvious online issues. Game is getting review bombed because of it and g*mers are acting like total babies that the game with a team of less than 100 employees hasn't been able to fix their online services because the game had a 12,400% increase in active players.

It's not harder to be better than a game that only lasted one episode before getting canceled by Microsoft

I think the fact the concurrent players is continuing to climb despite the server issues and review bombing shows that its probably a pretty good game

I love the game, but suggest you play offline till the online servers fully cooperate.

It has more complexity than D4. skills have their own skill trees, and there's a passive tree for your base class and then subclass. It's easy to respec, although you can't spec out of your subclass, that's locked in.
Crafting is great, you can add, upgrade, lock, affixes on items. Break items for affixes.

storage space is great, and the story is good.

There's a decent endgame system that is LE's version of PoE mapping.

It's really good, but it has quite a bit of online issues because of its large userbase. Basically the Helldivers 2 problem, which is a good problem to have.

Already answered recently, but basically the offline client isnt fully offline yet, so while the servers are down you cant login to the game. However, if you were already playing when the servers go down, its possible youll be able to continue playing.

this true?
ngl i'd be pretty pissed too if i bought a product and couldnt play it because the devs didnt make a proper offline mode and didnt prepare for launch

I definitely had some server issues but it wasn't completely unplayable. once you get to the endgame stuff that's all on its own servers and I haven't had problems besides one disconnect so far.

overall I think the gameplay is really good, and the skill specs let you do pretty much whatever you want and you can still clear content. being able to stay alive is always more important than whatever meta build does the most damage.

edit: there's a full offline version if you never want to deal with anyone. online also has two factions you can join, one gives you extra loot you can't trade and the other lets you trade but you won't get as many rare drops.

I might boot it up today if i have time. Ive owned it for over a year buy have been holding off
