from where the latest season of the anime ends, Thorfinn goes back to his village, reunites with his mom and sister, and meets his sister's family.

he's able to convince people around him about Vinland, a land without war and conflict, and they want to travel with him. he's able to convince the one land owner from the beginning of the series to help finance it.

anyway, they finally reach "Vinland", somewhere where Native American tribes are already living.

there's initially some hostility, but they're able to find some common ground.

... that's until an illness that Thorfinn's people must have brought over ravaging the tribe they initially made peace with.

now it's basically war between both sides, and while Thorfinn's side has the better weapons (made of iron), they don't have too many since Thorfinn forbade the people coming with him to bring any since their mission was about peace. only a few defied him, so that's why some of them are armed.

we'll see if he's able to complete his pacifist run.
