Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth (aka Yakuza 8) is really good. But Yakuza 0 just has such a banger opening and story, while Infinite Wealth fumbles the story a bit at times. If I had to rank them so far:

0 > 8 > 7 > 5 > 4 > K2 > Gaiden > 6 > 3 > Ishin > K1

Still haven't played Judgment and Lost Judgment yet. It really does suck that if you play through the series in the right order, you start with the best game in the series and then immediately go to the worst game in the series >_> But you can't skip 1 either because so much important shit happens in that game

Yeah, Yakuza 3 has a lot of blocking, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. Ishin and Kiwami 1 are worse experiences

0 was amazing, but I dropped K1. I've not played any of the others

0 is a 10 but it ranks among the middle for me

kiryu's story in it is p mid. and the makoto romance is the most forced inorganic romance I've ever seen in media

2 or 6 take it for me. leaning towards 6 today because kiryu's lines in it are hard as steel

Yakuza 0 is absolutely awesome. But yeah, it kind of made it hard to get into the series from there because I liked the setting and time period so much, not to mention just how well-balanced everything felt.

LaD/IW is stuff Id love to try for myself sometime but have no idea when Ill have time for it.

I'm a little leery to try 7 and 8 because of the change to turn based combat tbh.

0 is the best and worst way to start the series. It's the "best" game in the series, but it's also the peak. 7 is better, but it's so different that I try not to compare it to 0-6.
