Loving it. One thing I dont like atm is MAI speaking every time you refight a hunt. Prob gonna turn her voice down in the game.

Finished the demo. I just love how versitile Cloud is this time, having a normal range attack and pretty much unlimited air combat. Aerith is also more fun to use, her new Ward Shift could get handy. Red is also fun to play with. Tifa and Barret are pretty similar to FF7R.

Synergies are fun too.

Im so excited for the full game.

Chadleys AI program that speaks to Cloud with thr hunts and stuff. At default when she or Chadley speak to cloud via the thingy he has thr apund comes from the controller speaker. When you get near a hunt she rambles on about the monsters, fine the first time but I dont need to hear it all the time.

I don't know why I was surprised by the digital assistant having a sexy anime vtuber avatar.

I guess Cloud in that dress awoke all sorts of feelings in Chadley.

I wonder how many people know that Chadley is a robot. You only learn this if you do all of the combat challenges.

I played the Nibelheim part of the demo, but im skipping Junon. I'm taking some vacation time on release, so I'll have 8 days off to dive hardcore into the game.

I've already advised my wife this is the time she will be able to either collect life insurance, or keep me alive by making sure I stay fed and watered.

When you dodge and hold attack he starts arial combat, can dodge midair too. Cloud and others even have attacks bow that can send enemies in the air.

Quite a lot harder than i was used to.

But i dont think it was in a bad way.

Its just... uh i think ill need some time to get used to this lol. That damn eliphant thingy missions was annoying but i got it in the end (not doing the VR missions just yet, i think ill save those for the main game... when i have a better grasp of everything)

...that is so counterintuitive. Damn. I thought that using attack after dodging gives Cloud laser sword attacks, a la Link with full hearts? Either way, thanks for the protip, gamer.

And I agree with @SuperVegitoFAN here: I feel that, at least what's been shown in the demo so far, combat feels more challenging on Normal mode. It's a good thing, mind you, it will just take some getting used to.

They did a really good job at making each character feel unique to use.

Not to mention I think they've solved my biggest FF7R compliant. Armor/accessories and items seemed like an after thought. Having the item transmutation will put more focus on them.

Also, we can dress up chocobos

Gameplay wise, Rebirth is looking pretty amazing. There are also places you can find to upgrade some summons. This is the stuff I love from rpgs.

I'd rather play it on release but if there are bonuses you get from doing the demo, I may play it.

I want to know more about the combat and get a better feel for it, so there's that.

The only part of the demo I struggled with was a hunt had to stop them from using Soothing Winds, but I figured it out. Also didnt try all the difficulties of Phoenix, full power prob not beatable, easiest was too easy.

Then again Im atm replaying FF7R so Im comfortable with the battle system.

The timer on those elephants is pretty strict, but otherwise I managed very well vs every thing except full power Phoenix. That took 3 tries
