They haven't released a single expansion worth that. It'd have to be as big as the main game.

Not even interested in the main game for free, personally. Good for you if its something you want though.

Truthfully I can't be sure if it's worth it.

Fromsoft is near and dear to my heart, but Elden Rings world just didn't really do much for me on repeat playthroughs.

I'll have to wait and see first impressions.

im gonna wait until all my memories of the game is gone and then play it again from scratch.

If it's a proper expansion that's more than fair.

Elden Ring was stellar and From's DLCs are always good, this is bound to be great.

I remember when shaming poor people was socially okay on the Internet. Now it's more acceptable to bitch about how you can't afford shit.

$40 is a high price tag for a DLC, but I doubt anyone will question Fromsoft delivering value.

And it is because of the latter that I don't mind it.

Not if it's more like an expansion than what most people think of as DLC.

Well no - because they've never been sold for that much. If FromSoft think that $40 is a good price for the Elden Ring DLC pack, then perhaps we're talking a hell of a lot of content here.

I wouldnt pay that for it. Honestly, after putting Ive r100 hours into the main game and doing everything possible without doing multiple NG+ runs, I dont really want to go back to that game at all. I will eventually so I can still have all achievements but its a downer.

If the DLC is already out by the time I play a game fine, but its usually a struggle for me to go back if Ive completed the game before it releases.

I wish Steam would do achievements like PS does trophies, where the initial release ones are in a group all their own, and if you get all those, it doesnt take the Platinum away from you just because a DLC came out. Steam will take away my ribbon til I do the DLC achievements.

ER is nearly the size of all 3 Souls games and their DLCs put together. Their DLCs all started releasing within half a year and none were incomplete. If Fromsoft took 2 full years to make this AND they're selling it for that much then I have no reason to doubt the quantity to justify it being 40 dollars, and their track record gives me no reason to doubt the quality.

Im not qualified to answer this because I am biased against the open world design they used and thus cannot give any real input.

In Fromsoft we trust. I have no doubts that this will fully be worth the price.

fromsoft hasn't let me down yet and judging by the quality of past dlc, the fact it has taken them 2 years to develop this and that it looks like we'll have an entire region to explore, at least, the $40 pricetag seems more than worth it to me

DLC is just fucking dumb.

It's pricey, but I love Elden Ring and trust FS to do an awesome job with it. I imagine it will be well worth it.
