To think Disney would need to outsource...not sure if this helps Disney or Sony more...

As part of the deal, Sony will market, sell and distribute all Disneys new releases and catalog titles on physical media to consumers through retailers and distributors in the U.S. and Canada. Disney will continue to manage its own digital media, like premium video-on-demand.

Disney don't even release physical media in Australia anymore so I guess this changes nothing for us lol.

Does this mean we'll have to start worrying about non Disney movies getting the vault treatment?

Sony's authoring and encoding is superior to Disney, so it's actually a good thing. I just hope we get to see more catalog titles.

Disney sucks elephant dick when it comes to print transfers so this is surprisingly a good thing despite the two companies being used in the same sentence.
