Some good and some really bad items on that list.

Its almost like paying someone to do the work for you is a common service across every industry. Chefs, financial advisors, mechanics, etc.

Even a lawyer.

But do you have the same resources and knowledge as these professionals? Or the time to sit down and do it?

Bruh the self checkout line moves way slower than a normal line because ... *gasp* most people don't spend 30 hours a week operating checkout machines. It only ever goes faster when there's 10x as many self checkouts as cashiers.

I would think the biggest one people don't notice is Sales Tax.

It's not a purchaser tax, it's a tax owed by the party doing the selling that they charge the purchaser for. It's a fine courtesy for some small local store but pretty frustrating when Amazon is bragging about record profits and still charging it instead of taking it out of their end.

A real estate agent (assuming they're good) would pay for itself anyway.

They're a business where people specifically go to them to buy houses. It's within their interest to make a house look as good as it can be and to present it to as many potential buyers as possible to outbid each other. The higher they sell it for the better commission they get.

How does an average and inexperienced guy have that same level of reach? I'm not sure how someone could think they're going to sell a house at the exact same price on their own unless they already want to sell it someone else privately for a specific price. Which generally would be for less money.

That's just the sales part of it too. There's also a lot of stuff that happens in the background to get these assets transferred that they also handle.

TM you s just as much of a convenience as any other service. No one is stopping you from going to the venue the day tickets go on sale. The TM upcharge is so you can buy tickets from your home while in your PJs.

Yeah, I'm not going to pretend like there aren't at least a few questionable entries (like not all holidays are designed to make people buy useless shit for example) but the majority of them I agree with or at least think there is some merit in complaining about.

Drivers license renewal. If it doesnt come with a test to make sure youre actually still fit to drive, then what is the purpose of it? Not only do our taxes pay for the upkeep of the roads but we also have to rent the right to drive our vehicles on them. Its double dipping.

Don't know if its listed, but the one that actually irks me is how normalized online gambling is now. 15 years ago you wouldn't see any sort of Draft Kings commercial, let alone a sponsorship. These days somehow someway they managed to slip through the cracks.
