I usually think too much nothing happens in Montana for the people there to care to have any vested political decisions. The "whatever " of America. But alas, it might also be because in the back in my mind, I subconsciously hope it really is so dull of a place that it translates into a safe zone for affordability and neutrality. Maybe once upon a time it was true, but with the pioneering of high speed internet, maybe the societal diseases have spread there too.

The current governor of Montana is the guy who was convicted of assault for body slamming a reporter a few years ago.

Its really not an easy mistake as German WW2 soldiers look pretty fucking unique.

You may think that more people are WW2 buffs capable of picking apart uniforms in a grainy photo than actually are.

That would be harder to miss. Did you look the stock photo up or something? That isn't in the article posted in the OP.

Unless it has SS on it then I'm not going to recognize a specific uniform, especially if theres no color and it's low quality. How is that trolling? You really think the average person has that as common knowledge?

I wouldnt expect the average person to know that signifies German soldier. Im not giving the same pass to the Montana National Guard.

I don't know why you would expect everybody in the national guard today to have that kind of knowledge of uniforms worn during a war that likely ended before their grandparents were born.

The photo is labelled as "Unidentified re-enactors dressed as World War II German soldiers" on Adobe though, so it would take some pretty impressive levels of carelessness to accidentally use it.
