I'm going slow but I finally unlocked the Grenade Launcher. Thinking about getting an Eagle strat next. Thinking cluster bomb or napalm. Which would y'all recommend? I'm not even lvl 10 yet lol

Airstrike for buildings / bug holes
Cluster bombs for small & medium targets
Napalm for bug breaches, drop one while they're spawning

LOL I'm such an idiot I've just been using plain grenades for bug holes then calling in a resupply.

Armor with +2 nades and supply backpack have been awesome for me

Are clusters/napalm kinda effective on medium armor targets? Or should I be waiting on the auto cannon or 500kg eagle for that?

Yea, medium armor targets can be taken out with cluster & fire damage (dot ignores armor).

Auto cannon is amazing against tightly pack units or medium high value targets and the self reload isn't as long as recoilless rifle.

Eagle 500kg bomb good for large hvts like bile titans, but the blast radius is deceptively small. Most it can take out is a medium nest.

Finally unlocked the breaker shotgun and it absolutely shreds.

No problem, ask me anything about the game. I'm at level 36 now so I'll try my best to answer.

The atmosphere in this game is beautiful but it's so god damn hard to see lol I get that's the point but man I'm getting flanked by bugs left and right.

The robot missions seem easier than the bug ones for the most part. Tho the robot mission where you have to save scientists while fending off bots seems fucking impossible.

What? The robot missions are way harder. You must be playing on the lowest difficulty. They have rockets that oneshot you, most of them are armored which means no damage from the front and bullets ricochet back at you or teammates, tanks straight up require an orbital.

Orbital laser or any area coverage explosive that can destroy outposts, 110mm eagle, autocannon or rail gun, whatever else. Liberator Penetrator or Breaker (or the Incendiary variant). Use Light Armor and stealth and the bots are an absolute joke. Edit: been soloing up to Suicide Mission difficulty with that set up.

I've been playing on whatever hardest difficulty I have available. I average like 2 deaths in a robot mission while the bug missions I'm dying left and right.

I don't see how anybody can die in the bug missions outside of friendly fire

Bile spewers can appear out of nowhere and one shot kill you from like 30 feet away.

You can also get stun locked by multiple hunters surrounding you, or chargers even.

Bile spewers also have crazy homing. Shit feels like it curves around cover sometimes lol

Oh, so that's what happened. Was wondering why my friends and I just got stuck in a loading screen forever. We were having fun doing RP style narrations until we got booted though lol.

Okay so I'm pretty sure we got owned the last two defend points against the bots and I wonder how much of it is due to the loaded servers lol

But then you would think that if the servers were so loaded, why aren't peeps helping contribute to the defend missions as much?

The servers are loaded by people who are AFK it seems. Also most of the quick play matches I've come into are bug missions for whatever reason. I like the robots way more. I usually quick play from the world map but I'm gonna start doing it by planet.

i've been able to quick play for the last 3 hours and it was glorious.

It's not impossible if you don't mind your guns and stuff just killing half of them

They made it a bit easier but its still difficult. I find it easiest to load up alot of turrets and try to save as many scientists as possible as early as possible. Longer it goes on the more you get overwhelmed.

Just makes me sad when the scientists get mowed down by my gatling sentry :(

My friend tells me this game is incredible when she can play but also is seething about the servers and bugs.

I've played it the past 2 nights and have had a blast.

Sure there's been crashes and login queues but it's 2024. If you're going to rage that a mega popular game has these issues then maybe online gaming isn't for you.

One fix (at least for PS5) if you can't get in, is to close the app and then on the dashboard go into the game's drop down or whatever and pick quick play. You might have to play a random mission or quit out but it got me in ahead of the queue.

Idk about PC tho

So the new patch has made it so much easier to get in game now.

Problem is now I'm getting a million communication errors or whatever when trying to join someone's game

Last daily I had was the 60 kills with the AMR.

Should get the final achievements I need this weekend to 100%.

The disc showed up like 2 weeks early and I tried to play last night and could never so much as play a tutorial

The update really sped up logging in. I haven't had any issues. I've had multiple crashes though. All after missions so I guess that's aight.

Yeah I was able to jump in and get going tonight. Pretty fun game so far! Got up to level 5 and unlocked some stuff, feeling good

Btw anyone know if any of the guns or equips on the second warbond is worth it? The one you get with super credits or the deluxe edition? I heard the first weapon, the explosive Liberator isn't that great.

Breaker shotty has just spoiled me. Hope it doesn't get nerfed lol

Heard the revolver and the fire breaker are really good

Incendiary Breaker does less damage on impact but has damage over time from incendiary rounds. I run Breaker with incendiary grenades. Breaker has always been a staple in the series with it's all-around stats.

Finally unlocked the scorcher.

Gonna give it a go tomorrow.

For now I sleep.

Incendiary damage ignores armor, impact Grenades bust some armor. So I guess it depends on what you're fighting essentially.

I'm level 30. :V

Incendiary is why I sometimes rock the flamethrower

So there's a new bug making the rounds that occasionally deletes your weapon when you fire it, eventually leaving you with only Grenades.

Have fun with that, hit me twice today. It seems rare so I'm going to say I'm exceptionally unlucky.

Edit: Respawning does not fix it either.

Lmao by bug I thought you meant the actual enemy I was like huh....that's an interesting mechanic to introduce lol

Happened to me yesterday. It was fixed after I got a teammate to kill me though.

I had a bug that made me go invisible and I couldn't interact with anything. Had to just leave.
