Two weeks ago u.s. team captain lindsay horan was talking about her experiences abroad compared to the u.s. and commented that "a lot of American fans are not so smart." Man the US women's team sure knows how to win over the fans.

She and her teammates managed to convince the American public that they were getting paid less than the men's team even though their court case got thrown out because a judge found they were literally making more than the men's team, and the end result of all of that was now the women's team gets a cut of the men's FIFA earnings, so she's certainly not wrong about their fans' intelligence
