regardless of compatibility with android and iphone and stuff, any of you think that the galaxies are the better watch overall?

I have a really old one I haven't used in years. I honestly never used it much to begin with and only got it since it was free with a new phone.

A watch you have to recharge just was too annoying for me. I preferred just to use my phone and then got into mechanical watches for my time keeping needs.

why do you hate recharging your watch so much? maybe every single smartwatch has to.

I have a watch 4 that's pretty good. I don't really have much to compare it to besides my previous Samsung Smartwatch, and even then its kind of negligible the difference from my Galaxy Watch Active. Though tbh I think I'm not really the kind of person to get that much out of a smartwatch to begin with.

The battery barely lasts like 2 days, which is common for smartwatches, but is also a problem because I will repeatedly pick it up, having forgotten to charge it so it won't make it through the day. But that's more of a me problem than a watch problem.

I have a galaxy smart band and I love it. Lasts around 10 days, tracks every health aspect and I get all my notifications there. Tried apple watches and actual Samsung smartwatches but I realized I wasn't gaining anything significant despite losing battery massively.

I absolutely hate charging watches once a day, would rather keep my simple band until it breaks.

I currently have a Galaxy Watch5 Pro (LTE).

It's pretty comprehensive as smartwatches go and as for the W5 Pro itself, it's basically the Samsung equivalent of the Apple Watch Ultra (though the W5 Pro came out first). It's made of titanium and has a more rugged design. It also has a 590 mAh battery that I charge every 4-5 days.

I have a Pixel Watch since I liked the looks more and Fitbit integration. My wife has a Galaxy Watch, though, it seems great.

I'd take either over an Apple Watch, even if they worked with Androids. I think square watches look dumb.

Apple is the darling of the media so reviews not suprisingly will favor their products. The W5P does just about everything the Apple Watch does and it fits in nicely in my Galaxy ecosystem (phone, tablet, earbuds, home appliances, etc). In fact, the Galaxy Watch just got clearance by the FDA that'll enable users to use it for sleep apnea - a first for smartwatches if I'm not mistaken.

You can use a Galaxy Watch with any Android phone but there are specific features that you'll miss out on (EKG monitoring, irregular heart rhythm notification, sleep apnea, etc) if you don't pair it to a Galaxy phone.

A little disappointing but still better than an Apple Watch which you can't even use at all if you don't have an iPhone.

I have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. I only have to charge it every 3 days or so. I wear it 24/7 including while sleeping. I used to never wear watches until I got a Galaxy Watch. Now I feel naked if I don't have my watch. I love being able to check notifications without actually pulling out my phone. Or even respond to messages without needing my phone.

Yeah something like that. Tbh I would have never bought one but it came free with my phone. It's a galaxy fit2 band, they're out of production sadly but mine is still going strong.
