tl;dw cuz fuck watching a 16 minute video for a 2 minute explanation >_>
-New glitch discovered that shaves off 1 minute off the previous speedrun glitch where you were to wrong warp to the top of Ganon's Tower after using a bottle glitch in Deku Tree
-You start the game and glitch your way out of Lost Woods into Kakariko Village before nighttime
-Glitch into the Bottom of the well to get a Deku Shield and Bombchus
-Glitch through the Kakariko gate and use bombchus to get into Dodongo's Cavern
-Use some bullshit glitch that clones the main room over and over again on top of each other, so that it overwrites the RAM with junk data and causes the bridge above Dodongo's skull to turn into a warp point due to junk data
-Enter the warp point and it takes you to the bottom of Ganon's Tower during the escape sequence
-Beat the game >_>

You have to do this during daytime in game because if it's nighttime, the warp just crashes the game...for some reason lol. Apparently this is a minute faster than the Deku Tree warp

I never cared for speedruns of adventure games. It always devolves into arbitrary code execution. Which is cute, but at that point you're basically watching someone use a gameshark with extra steps.

I remember watching a speedrun of FF7 and Vice City at a GDQ once where they basically just trick the game by using save states that fuck with the code, that opens up the final mission.

It's so fucking stupid. It's one thing to cause a glitch or get out of bonds, but to just use external shit to fuck with the coding and processing is just dumb shit.
