Only ever played 7-10, but never beat an FF game, maybe got halfway with all of them

Finally gonna try and conquer them all

I need to beat more FF games. I have only finished 1 and 7 in my entire life. I've played almost every game in the series but I am really bad about not completing them

Thats the plan, gonna space them with other games though so I dont get burnt out on the series

I just finished ff1 and I also used the booster. Don't know if I'll play them all in order myself.

What party did you use?

6 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 3 > 2

I'd love for the Pixel Remaster bundle to drop to ~30 but it will probably never happen.

I've finished 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, X, X-10, and XV.

I keep running out of steam/money/underleveled somehow after Gran Pulse in XIII and I don't like the "offline MMO" style of XII.

Someday I'll finish them.

Played 6 and loved it and now I'm playing 4.

Just finished playing 9 and 7 as well. Thought they were both great. Though the boosters really helped lol

Yeah kind of agree. I might swap 5 and 1. I picked up a switch this past summer and the pixel remasters was my first purchase. Just finished 4.

I used the boosters for 1 and 2. I'm at the end of 3 now and I haven't used them. I was kinda torn because on the one hand, the boosters save me doing repetitive battles, but on the other, it doesn't feel satisfying for me to overcome challenges when I have them on. I have been using guides, but I still feel some satisfaction for completing dungeons and bosses even with them

But boy, am I glad I used them for 2. I didn't have them on all the time for 1, but in 2, after a while of tinkering with the game, I decided to leave them on permanently.

Yeah I was probably 2/3 of the way through on 1 before I turned it on. It's just making the experience quicker for me and that makes it more enjoyable for something that old.

The boosters making things quicker is a godsend for when you only have X amount of hours a day between work and other things to play games. If I had to run around 7's or 9's world and fight at the regular speed, I probably would've given up pretty early on.

My thoughts exactly, the purists probably thinks its cheating but oh well, thats how Im playing

I just finished 3. My party was around level 57 when I beat the final boss. It wasn't too hard at that level; I basically just used a Curaja on the whole party every time the boos used Particle Beam.

I have to say, even though the game doesn't have much story, I thought it was cool how at the end all the temporary party members came to help you.

Lol, I'm going back to discover all the map locations, and there was a whole town called Falgabard that I never knew existed. There was even a "boss" there but it was just a regular enemy from the Crystal Tower.

Make that two towns. apparently there's also Doga's Village.

What was your FF1 party and how did you like the game?

I'm playing through them too.
Beat 3, then beat 1, almost done with 2.
2 is still easily the worst in the series, but the boosters make the game more bearable.

I still need to do 5 but it's not great

5 is my favorite Final Fantasy.
Haven't played 6 yet tho, but I'll bet it's overrated :V

Only FF game I've beaten was 16. I picked up the collection afterwards and am at the end of 5. Boss is a real bastard so I've bounced off it.

5 is prob my favorite of the "classic" FF games.

I liked it, I know the games get longer as the series go in but with not a lot of time to game nowadays, 13hr completion time over a weekend was perfect

I really like 5 but I get why some people don't. Your enjoyment of it is highly dependent on how much you like the job system.

I don't know what to tell you on 6. It's really good but it gets so hyped up it could fall short for you even if you enjoy it.

I'm glad you liked it. Some people can end up not liking it if they're expecting it to be like the later FF games, but I think if you take it for what it is it's a fun little RPG.

The boosters helped, not the purist way but still had fun

I have a real soft spot for FF1, it's just a good time through and through.

I'm playing through 6 for the first time on my Steam deck. It's better than I expected it to be and the ability to turn off random encounters is a godsend. It makes the game a lot easier, but I'm very willing to make that sacrifice. I'm too busy in life to grind through games like I used to.

Yup. I just play and enjoy videogames very differently with a full-time job. I still enjoy hard challenges that respect my time, but not in archaic ways like millions of random battles.

Got a buddy whose older than me who grew up with the OG FF games, was amazed how I beat it in 13hrs

I remember the good ol' NES times but can't imagine playing FF on it back in the day

I remember playing the OG FF back on NES and I didnt like it. I was probably like 7 or 8 so I didnt know much of what was going on and the gameplay was boring compared to things like Double Dragon and Mario.
