I'm so behind the curve on part series and stuff, so I really have no idea what to benchmark. All I did was go to a youtube vid on custom builds, picked the "Mid" range PC, plugged all the parts into pcpartpicker and came out with a build and a figure of around 1500 ($1900 USD).
Here's the build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/PinkyAndOrBrain/saved/#view=JyyWrH Now, real talk. I don't think I need all this shit. In fact I am rocking an ancient PC that just barely manages to play Arkham Knight (a 2015 game), and it pretty much handles almost everything I need it to. I am in this because my PC is ancient (like my CPU is maybe 11 years old now) and I want to play Baldurs Gate 3 and such. Can I afford a 1500 PC? Yes. Does that mean I want to spend 1500 on a PC? No. So where can I cut corners? Is the used market good for certain things? Like if I found a second hand GPU or a lower end one that would shave hundreds off. Jump the ram to 32
Otherwise depends on how future proof you want the system. --- "You're just one big headache, and I got a pistol full of aspirin" ... Copied to Clipboard!
