People who will die before they suffer the long term ramifications of their policies should not be able to make said policies.

If someone can be too young to do something, then they can also be too old. People don't live forever and the human body progressively fights harder and harder to kill you. Running for political office at 70+ is not a human right.

They can either do the job or they can't. Make the argument that they can't, not the argument that they are arbitrarily too old

The issue is because Dianne Feinstein refused to retire, Joe Biden could not make any court appointments for months.

The issue is illness and injury prone politicians will often be in situations where they are unable to vote, stalling democracy at best, or destroying it at worst.

For the president it doesn't really matter because there's always the 25th amendment.

For everyone else it's destroying our democracy.
