Never watched it but its hard to watch the adults after how shit Tri was.

I voted Tamers cause I thought it was a choice between the two.

but if youre just watching them both. Then watch 02. Its not as good as the first one. But its still really fun

I'm on episode 4 now. It's a LOT better than I remember it was. I remember being bitter because Davis/Veemon took over Tai/Agumons spot but both Davis and Veemon are awesome. I just didn't give them a chance.

Y'all should rewatch Digimon with me. I started watching it when I got Covid last month and decided to keep going until I finish Frontier.

Tamers is awesome but 02 is a good sequel. I think watching both is appropriate. It's also weird how there is always a new Digimon movie or show that I've never heard about coming out.

The poll is a lie. 02 is amazing. It takes what made Part 1 good and makes it even better. It's also darker, which is nice. IMO, I prefer the team in 02 to the team in Adventure.

I say if you had to pick go with Adventures 2 since you already saw the first one. Might as well watch both though

New season? And yeah Veemon is one of my favorite Digimon in the games. I'm playing through Cyber Sleuth currently and waiting to get him.

Both are good, Tamers is better.

What I really dislike about 02 is how they made the main cast smaller, but still decided to focus on Davis as the obvious main guy even more. The role of T.K. and Kairi being the veterans get pushed away too soon too, and Yolei and Cody are even less relevant than the cast in Digimon Adventure 01 was.

The evolutions outside of the Veemon/Wormmon lines really suck too.

Only other cool partner digimon evolution there is Pegasusmon, maybe Digmon.

Now I'm wondering why I still like it.

Glad you're grown out of it.
Many people hated sequels that has different characters and stuck up with old ones. They didn't even gave them a chance.

Halsemon and Aquilamon are okay.

Sylphiemon is far, far, FAR away from goated. Sylphiemon and Shakkoumon are the main reason why I raised that point.

They both can't compare to Paildramon at all, and I can't name a single partner digimon on ultra level that I think is worse than them.

and Valkyriemon doesn't exist in the anime. And even if it did, it would not do anything cool at all either, because they are not Imperialdramon.

Yeah they did an entire new Season of Adventure in 2020 which was ok. It was like a reboot with the same characters and Digimon telling a similar story.

Now I think they are doing the same sort of thing but with the 02 cast as either a single movie or a series of shorter movies I cant remember

also if youre enjoying Cyber Sleuth, while its extremely different. Next Order is pretty fun and extremely unique game. Its a V-Pet game so you raise and train your Digimon and they also did and get reborn while you adventure in the Digital World collecting Digimon to build up your home base and get new shops/mechanics.

its very Grindy though so if you hate that you can get on PC and remove a lot of the grind. Its my favourite Digimon game though because of how unique it is.

Tamers is categorically the best season of the anime, and it's not even close.

02 has a pretty strong start, but it really falls off by the end. Meanwhile tamers is consistent throughout and has genuinely good writing.

I'm up to the episode where Davis unlocks Raidramon. One thing I'm enjoying is every other episode features an old cast mate. They do focus a lot on Veemon but the others have their moments as well. The past two episodes featured Garurumon and MetalGreymon and Matt/Tai.

That was me as a kid. I still continued to watch the show but I always said how I didn't like it, etc.

I'm playing through Cyber Sleuth and then I plan on playing Hacker's Memory. I bought Next Order the day it came out and played the hell out of it on PS4. I did enjoy the game quite a bit but I don't think I'll be replaying it any time soon. I don't mind the grind at all but I prefer games like Digimon Story or the DS games where you traditionally level up your Digimon. Plus I'm playing Persona 3 when I can and I plan on playing FF7R in a few weeks when it releases. Maybe by the time summer comes around I'll have more time for Next Order.

It does get kind of cringey by the end but that's okay. I'll be through the entire season in a week or two.
