Kenobi promised a total of 17,000 credits to take him, Luke, and the droids to Alderaan. Solo got them away from the Imperial forces and made it to where Alderaan was supposed to be.
Turns out, Alderaan was no more. So technically, deal was off, right? But also, Kenobi opted for assisted suicide soon after. So, did Han get cheated out of his payday? Jedi are supposed to be the good guys. --- Your face looks like I need a beer. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Pretty sure theres a scene at the rebel base where he is handling some sort of case that presumably has his payment while talking about his plan to leave them to the fight. Though I would guess the Rebel Alliance paid up on Kenobis behalf

Yes, he got paid by the rebels after arriving at Yavin 4 and was getting ready to bolt, which is why Luke was really annoyed with him.
After he helped Luke destroy the Death Star, he had cast his lot with the Alliance so paying off Jabba became the least of his concerns. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Have we all forgotten that part in Empire Strikes Back where he mentions that he was on his way to pay off Jabba when a run-in with a bounty hunter changed his mind? He got his credits. By the way, I'm kinda surprised Disney hasn't used that actor from the Solo movie to finally show us that scene where he lost his credits / was prevented from reaching Jabba. Its possible the money was on the ship and he would have had it delivered after the transaction was confirmed.I wouldn't call it a mistake at all. Just because we don't see Qui-Gon haul around crates full of credits doesn't mean shit. The credits could be onboard the ship and they didn't want to risk hauling that much currency around in to Mos Espa when they could have been robbed. It makes sense to locate the desired parts, strike a deal, then come back with the credits. It'd be pretty dumb to haul that much around. It's begging for conflict. And that is assuming they weren't carrying some sort of credit card or other way to pay digitally. --- Your face looks like I need a beer. ... Copied to Clipboard!
