This is what they're not saying. Our planet is in imminent danger. Once Earth becomes inhospitable and Mars is the only place for the human population to run to, the social hierarchy on Earth will be propagated on Mars.

Society on Mars will be tiered. The rich who can afford the most comfortable, Earth-like living spaces will live in large spaces reminiscent of apartments (currently being built RIGHT NOW) with many amenities. The lesser people (still have money, but not Uber rich) will only be able to afford a cramped, nearly unlivable communal space.

This is happening now so that corporations are prepared to take your money once Earth enters its final phase.

If Mars is ever colonized by humanity, its first successful generation will have to actually be born there.

Even if we had the resources available right now to move all 8 billion of us to Mars, (and assuming it was already terraformed), only a fraction of a fraction of us are actually physically fit enough for space travel, and even then, only a literal handful of that tiny group are conditioned for it.

Theres a reason you need to be young and train for years to be an astronaut. So we can joke about how the super rich will go to Mars and leave us to die, but fortunately that cant and wont happen. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, etc would all break in half on take off.

Those driving climate change are going to lie in the same coffin as the rest of us. Thats the only real good and comforting thing left in our future.

Nah, they're totally going to live just above the clouds of Venus where gravity, temperature, and air pressure is very similar to Earth's so that we only need to deal with supplying oxygen instead of dealing with all of the challenges of living on Mars with its low gravity, trace atmosphere, and cold as fuck.
