Yep, a bit of hose, a jerry can, and your mouth is all it takes.

It's the cheapest way. There are these little hand crank pumps you can use but if you are at the point where you need to steal gas, those are probably a bit out of your budget range.

5 minutes? They used to hit the Amazon parking lot on a regular basis when I was security there. Watching them on video they would do that shit in like 2 minutes.

Camera review would show them driving around the lot about 30 minutes ahead of time. They would pick out a handfull of cars that were ideal and come back later, hitting multiple in quick succession. But they had an entire lot of cars to choose from and were just hitting the easiest ones.

It saw a large increase in frequency when prices of the valuable metals inside them went way up during the lock downs.

Everything.

Platinum and more.

The right convertor can get you 1 to 3k per convertor.

Now you know why they do it.

Easy 3k.

Also, the more green ecological the car (california) the more valuable. Because those use more metals.

But more cars are now locking the convertor in better. Like the fuel cap issue in the past.

Most of the value comes from the platinum, palladium and rhodium that are used in the converters.
