I seriously cannot fathom why this is not being blasted on every news outlet as their top story every single day. If Obama (or any Democrat really) had said this stuff you would never hear the end of it, it would be on every news show every headline for however long and rightfully so. But with trump its a buried link on Yahoo and the NYT times main site I actually had to use the search function to find the original article (I sub to the NYT $4 a month) he is literally talking about deploying the military to "blue cities", deporting 10 million undocumented immigrants and citizens of course will be mixed in that. Openly declaring he will use t he DOJ for political persecution and prosecution. Yet this outlet treats it like a normal "campaign issue". I can see it now,

Haberman: "Well trump just said he will use the military to enforce the law and the DOJ to arrest his enemies what do you think of that Jonathan (Swan)"
Jonathan: "Well this may be some cause for concern but lets discuss President Biden's age, and don't forget his son Hunter this could become a real issue as the campaign moves forward"

You get the idea. It's surreal to me this is not the top story everywhere every day.

That's not much of a surprise really. Well this isn't really exclusive to Trump. Any Republican that gets into office is gonna attempt something similar when you consider the Project 2025 thing.

An email recently released by the whistleblowing organization WikiLeaks shows how the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party bear direct responsibility for propelling the bigoted billionaire to the White House.
In its self-described "pied piper" strategy, the Clinton campaign proposed intentionally cultivating extreme right-wing presidential candidates, hoping to turn them into the new "mainstream of the Republican Party" in order to try to increase Clinton's chances of winning.
The Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee called for using far-right candidates "as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right." Clinton's camp insisted that Trump and other extremists should be "elevated" to "leaders of the pack" and media outlets should be told to "take them seriously."

The memo, which was addressed to the Democratic National Committee, outlined "the strategy and goals a potential Hillary Clinton presidential campaign would have regarding the 2016 Republican presidential field."
The document stated, "Clearly most of what is contained in this memo is work the DNC is already doing. This exercise is intended to put those ideas to paper."
It continued, "Our hope is that the goal of a potential HRC campaign and the DNC would be one-in-the-same: to make whomever the Republicans nominate unpalatable to a majority of the electorate."
The memo articulated a three-point strategy. Point 1 called for forcing "all Republican candidates to lock themselves into extreme conservative positions that will hurt them in a general election."
At the time, there were more than a dozen Republican presidential candidates. The "variety of candidates is a positive here," the Clinton campaign said.
"Many of the lesser known can serve as a cudgel to move the more established candidates further to the right," the memo noted.
"In this scenario, we dont want to marginalize the more extreme candidates, but make them more 'Pied Piper' candidates who actually represent the mainstream of the Republican Party," the Clinton campaign wrote.
As examples of these "pied piper" candidates, the memo named Donald Trump as well as Sen. Ted Cruz and Ben Carson).
"We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to them seriously," the Clinton campaign concluded.
This document was part of the tens of thousands of emails to and from John Podesta, the chair of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, which were released by WikiLeaks.

In addition she also donated money to his campaign it was uncovered

The election is still a year away. Most people in this country pay zero attention to politics except for right before the election. The Democrats will be blasting all of this information closer to the election. It wouldn't be as effective now when most people who aren't terminally online have the memory of a goldfish. So unfortunately those who are aware right now have to suffer the stress and wonder why the fire alarm isn't ringing for what is obviously the blaze of a century.

Id like to believe cooler heads would prevail in key positions that would prevent this. UNLESS he appoints every single of those positions to be loyal dogs of his.

We already know this was a common thing when he was president and people just ignored him.

We already know this was a common thing when he was president and people just ignored him.

The plan is to replace all of the people who prevented him from doing that last time. It's all in Project 2025. They will get rid of everyone first who would stop him from doing everything else.

Enacting his plan would likely cause the outbreak of open hositilies.

I hope the airports will still remain open for people to flee to a different country...

As others have said, they intend to fill the government with people loyal to Trump. They've declared their intentions to do so in Project 2025, which is a document they've compiled that you can read if you're curious.
