For 1990 in particular this was REALLY impressive to see and hear out of the Genesis. For reasons I will never really know, Michael Jackson got connected with the Sega Genesis and actually worked on the music for the system a few times, and seemed to like what was done for Moonwalker. Michael Jackson is credited as the producer for the game and is based off the film (obviously) as well as the Smooth Criminal music video. The gameplay itself is based somewhat off the Shinobi titles and there were actually kinda three distinct versions of the game that were released. One for Arcade, another for Master System and Sega Genesis, and a third one for home computers. They were all quite loved at the time of release though their legacy is more a joke now.

The Genesis version will run you around 60-65 bucks loose and more than double that complete in box averaging around 140 right now. I believe it did come out for the Wii as well, but we know you can't grab THAT copy anymore. I assume a re-release nowadays might be a licensing nightmare but you never know...
