Bought it in Early Access, played through to the end a couple times but always got turned off by the huge spike in difficulty at the final dungeon and stopped, before coming backs few years later.

What's the consensus on the sequel, now that the smoke has died down? Still a disappointment?

I really should go do that cuz I beat the game before Houndmaster or whatever he's called was added and the final boss mechanics were rather different... it's a whole different ball park now
