Final Fantasy Tactics and other games like it (such as Disgaea, Triangle Strategy, Fire Emblem, etc.) are Tactical Strategy JRPGs, or Strategy RPGs (SRPGs) for short, while Baldurs Gate (and other games like it such as Pathfinder, Wasteland, Falliut 1mand 2, etc.) is a CRPG.
