The new guy is a maga head who doesn't believe in a functioning government and when McCarthy worked with Dems to keep it open he got ousted by MAGA because Trump wants a shutdown because the resulting chaos of one could be used to hurt Biden next year.

Possible. Republicans are not putting up any serious proposals. Just soundbite proposals to get on tv or social media.

There's a good chance. The problem is I think to the freedom caucus a shutdown is a perfectly acceptable outcome.
