They're not backing down and I believe as we start to get away from the 2023 election and into next year. We'll start seeing several Republicans from the top on down start to walk back the more moderate abortion ban after 15 weeks position and revert back to more hardline stances. Like bans after 6 weeks instead of 15 or going as far as completely outlawing abortion, which is what the anti-abortionists really want in the end. They won't settle for anything less than their ultimate goal.
