I think it should be. It's going to be his way to try to control the narrative of course. When he tries to say whatever bullshit on the stand and the judge shuts him up he can tell his cult "see they aren't even letting me talk". But everyone else can see it for what it really is. A pathetic attempt to save himself.

Meet in the middle: broadcast it after everything is said and done and the dust has settled. Ultimately, what Trump wants is to cast doubt on the trial for his followers by implying that the feds and the media are covering stuff up. If they actually agree to his request, he'll try to use it instead as a campaign event, because these trials are absolutely impeding his efforts to campaign.
