As someone who does tons of polls regularly, no, I don't. Polls and studies that rely on self-reporting are just worthless so often.

But if the questions are laid out properly, I've seen a few good ones.

Only if youre referring to the physical object type of pole. Not polls. Polls today are all predetermined by what their funders want to hear.

They're just a statistic. Interesting, but like in sports, some people can get too carried away with analytics. There are other factors too and they can't always be measured statistically.

I think what annoys me the most about polls is when the media takes them as the literal representative of what the country thinks at-large. Like little to no scrutiny whatsoever on the poll methodology. These polls, when it comes to politics, are just there to help sell a narrative the media is desperately trying push. I do believe there are several pollsters out there with their own agenda and they get paid to either skew one way or oversample a certain demographic. Just so that for example to make Biden look like he's doing bad in the eyes of the voters.

Anyway to answer the OP's question. No, I don't trust polls.

Beyond them existing, no. I don't treat them as the gospel.
