The premise is simple: Is the random person, thing, or idea that I suggest in the question something you find to be yay or do you think it something that is nay? There is no in-between. The third option is only if you truly can't decide, are completely indifferent, or simply have no idea/experience with the subject matter at hand. You're all free to debate on the subject, obviously. I may suggest something relevant to current events (I mean that literally, but the board itself too sometimes), I may suggest something that is clearly universally liked/disliked, it may be something completely irrelevant, and I may even suggest things I have no clue about myself. There really is no rhyme or reason besides my own whims. I'll only do 1 a day at most though. The idea of a modern update of the song isn't one I'm necessarily against, but this is awful. Most of it is less referencing important world events and more just pop culture.

In 2003, Fall Out Boy put out a pop punk masterpiece of an album called Take This to Your Grave. It is literally perfection. The lyrics are intensely personal, angry, pessimistic, witty, and poetic. The riffs are slamming. The production is powerful. There is not a single skipable song on the record. The immediate follow-up to TTTYG, From Under the Cork Tree, is mostly decent, but the music regressed big time and the lyrics are appropriately half as good. Everything after that is throwaway pop or pop rock trash. It is insane how good that first album is compared to the, at best, mediocrity that followed.
