PMarth2002 11/09/23 4:14:56 PM #4:	I'm more a fan of the card ones then the action ones. Slay the Spire, Wildfrost and Monster Train are my favorite deckbuilder roguelikes. Hades wins in the action category. Slay the Spire is among my top 5 games ever, I put like 1300 hours into it. And I wouldn't put Inscryption as a Roguelite. It has the first segment, yeah, but afterwards it's not really the genre at all. For instance, the second part is just the Pokemon TCG game for the GameBoy and neither it nor the third are really built around you ever losing (I would make the argument about that with the first one as well, but the bears kind of exist so yeah). --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome? What made the first segment of Inscryption so good was the natural puzzles in the environment mixed with the story, none of which is present in Kaycee's. So where Inscryption was a highlight for the year it still wouldn't be worth talking about over something like Across the Obelisk or Griftlands, or even lesser card roguelites like Slay the Spire.
