License/registration plates. Does your state/country require 1 or 2 of them?

My state only requires 1 plate. Which means vanity plate goes in the front.

Teslas like straight up don't have a spot for a front plate without damaging the front bumper

Arizona only requires 1 license plate on the back of the car

I would be pretty surprised of there I'd any place that only requires a front license plate

I think you're issued 2, but only have to have the rear on. I'm not sure, but I have both so...

My state requires both front and back however there are exceptions for front plates like vehicles over 25 years or old or any vehicle that would require altering the vehicle to mount it so if it is a sports car without mounting for a front plate you don't have to mount it. You can no longer be pulled over in my state if your only infraction is no front plate (they used to be able to pull you over for that)

In my state, California, we're required to have both the front and rear plates on. Some people get away with only having one for a while, but it's just a matter of luck on how long before they get pulled over.

Alaska required 2 my whole life, but like a year ago they changed it to just 1. On the back, of course, unless it's a heavy commercial vehicle (like semis and dump trucks and such) which goes on the front.

Front and back, though it doesn't seem to be enforced. There's even a few vehicles with obviously fake plates driving around (as in they have more characters than actual plates can, or in one particularly blatant case, an image rather than text) and nothing seems to happen to them.

1 on the back

2 should be a federal requirement. No reason not to.

Agreed. You're not always going to see the license plate from the correct side to report an accident or crime when there's only one.

At LAX, 1 plate is considered a valid and legal excuse to pull over and search the whole car. Next time you happen to be there, look at the cars they have pulled over and how many plates they have.

Applies for the whole state, but especially enforced at airports.

Exactly this.

And don't get me started on ubers/lyfts with no front plates. Walking around each car to see the backside drives me nuts, especially when it's dark outside and can barely see the colors and make/model.
