Few things I've noticed about this short:

• mf just has an entire cow's worth of dry aged sirloin. What is that, like $250 worth of beef, for a youtube short?
• His method is very, obnoxiously cheffy. Like using a potato ricer, and gelatinised stock and bone marrow to make a demi glace. This is really extra stuff
• That's a $100 bottle of red, easily, and he's fucking cooking with it
• big expensive looking apartment
• He's maybe like 20 years old
• He doesn't have THAT many followers. 600k, so its not exactly youtube buxx

Is the answer just rich parents? Or is it that he's raking in a huge following and money on other platforms...

How much do Youtubers make though? A quick google suggests that 100k subscriber channels make a minimum of 1k a month so it follows. Also sponsorships.

Unless it's someone with rich parents usually it goes like this.

Ton of time/effort spent on content > subscribers and views increase > basic monetization > content gets more visibility > more subscribers and views > sponsorships > major sponsorships

It's really difficult to earn a good living just by making videos that do well, without sponsorships. Also a lot of content creators have stuff like Patreon pages.

I disagree. Pretty sure 600K subscribers is enough to make a living off YouTube. This is assuming most of those 600K watch your videos regularly though. You could easily have 600K but only get 900 views per video
