It gets a lot more heavy handed by the end of Voyage of the Dawn Treader where Aslan explicitly tells the kids that this is just his form in Narnia "so they may came to know him better in their own world". This is the point where his character is no longer simply an allegory but intended to be actual Jesus just having different forms in different worlds. The Final Battle really goes hard on it as well. But Lewis did always did explore some rather fascinating theological hot takes in his writing that made the religious community his works targeted kinda big mad.
