Like, a deeper version of this would be hearing a song you haven't heard in a long time and it reminds you of when you and your grandma baked cookies together in the year that song came out or something.

It was in Assassin's Creed, yeah. It just didn't get popularized by it, and has since been completely removed from the series once they moved from the original set of games.
