Person goes to hospital, House & friends rush to conclusions about the patient and give them the wrong treatment making the patient worse, they try another treatment which leaves the patient near death, House & friends argue until House figures out the real problem and saves the patient just in time?

It is one of the most aggressively formulaic shows I've ever seen. I think Blue's Clues shakes up the status quo more often.

Its still a series I enjoy and have watched a couple times but yes its very much a strict formula 99% of the time.

Yes. It's a show you watch for the characters and their banters. Occasionally there are episodes that just absolutely nails it on the head that it sticks with you for a while (ex. Suicidal patient)
