I had a really bad father so I have issues talking to other men on any level beyond basic pleasantries.

both are fine except if the girl in question is good looking. That changes the equation.

No difference. I suck at talking to both.

Even as a kid, I felt more comfortable around women and girls.

It didn't help that my former stepfather was an asshole and he often forced me to say "I love you" to the point it still is very hard for me to say to anyone else.

Girls seem more interested in what I have to say. So it's just easier

Either one. Been in sales and retail for 13-14 years. Talking is the job.

Women are known to be the more agreeable (and perhaps that extends to being more accepting) of the two genders on average, statistically speaking.

Im fine with either but end up interacting with guys way more because my job workplace is 100% male. Before my job I was in the military and when I first got to my ship it was 100% males because females werent allowed on warships. In June of 1995 we got the first group of 13 females on our ship.

By the time I left in 99 there were more women but it was heavily men. The only time of my life where guys and girls were pretty much evenly split was growing up in school. Since I graduated in 1994 everything I have done is heavily male dominated.

Neither. Terrible experiences for different reasons.

I was raised by women mostly, and the only 100% positive male influences I ever had were my grandpa and great uncle, both of whom have been dead for years now.

I can barely communicate with anyone I'm not really familiar with in any interaction that's more involved than a fast food order or over-the-counter purchase, but I just feel safer around women in general.

I have no issue with either.

I'm extremely anti-social and introverted. I can and have gone many years without talking to anyone outside of my parents. I wish I didn't have to socialize period to be honest. It's probably the biggest reason why I refuse to get a job. You have to socialize even a little bit for the most basic minimum wage job and I just can't do it. Posting on a video game forum at my own pace is the best I can do to socialize.

Basically these. Since women typically are better with emotions, I can be so open to them and not feel like they'll tell me to "act like a man". When I find them attractive though, my mind can race and that doesn't ever happen with men. That makes the conversation more fun when my brain is having a meltdown.
I have really good parents, so I've always gotten along with older people. I have loved old ladies as long as i can remember.

Generally I prefer talking with women. But either is fine.

I'm pretty much comfortable talking to anybody, so both, but there's no option for that so you don't get another vote for your poll, include more options!
