Yeah and they made it awesome. Track record for Marvel movies showcasing their lesser-known characters (pre-MCU - like, outside F4, Xmen, Spiderman, etc., how many people really knew who Iron Man was) has been strong.

Track record for their TV shows, however, has been weak. Every show starts with a strong episode 1, tap dances through some mediocre, low-stakes filler, then completely flops the ending. Wandavision might be the exception as the rest of the show (save for the ending) was awesome.

All this to say, I agree no one asked for GotG, but they made it awesome and their track record supports it. However, no one asked for this either and their track record for shows leads me to believe it's going to stink. That's the difference.

I actually am quite excited for this since i did also actually like Hawkeye, Also more kingpin is also always a plus.. and... Is that Daredevil i spot at 1:27

Echo is actually an important character. I think she is dating Daredevil currently in the comics. And being his crime fighting partner. She's replaced Elektra

Okay, they manage to sell me the show. I'm down for an edgy show. I'll keep my hype in check, but I'm going to go into this show with an open mind. If it can deliver on the fight chereography like in Daredevil Netflix series, it would be a major improvement.

Watched the trailer.

It's not....that bad. Very different feel from other MCU TV fare. Like, has actual cinematography lol

Still not interested in Echo as a character, so if I do watch, it'll be for Kingpin cuz more D'Onofrio is always good.

I didnt know what to expect when they first announced it, but the trailer has me interested enough to give it a try.

also I think Im even more on-board with this all dropping at once instead of week to week. Admittedly with some of their bigger name shows (like Loki right now) the week to week model causes me to lose interest between episodes.

Reminds me of Netflix marvel shows, lot more gritty and less "disney'd" than other series. Might actually be good.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be the actual good MCU show. There was a lot of negative reaction regarding Andor being announced and look at how that turned out. Sadly, no one actually watched it though, even though it's the best Star Wars content put out in a long time.

It looks great like the Netflix Daredevil kinda great, which probably means it's going to disappoint, because these Disney shows haven't captured that magic yet.

Might be pretty decent, I like the tone so far.

Seems like they're taking the resounding "meh" and "huh?" reactions to the shows announcement to heart. Looks pretty solid and they're testing the MA waters for shows in the future. Hopefully it does well so they can't blame its failure on the rating and not make more MA stuff in the future. Seems weird to use a no one character that people actively balk at for that though rather than Daredevil or Punisher, but we'll see.

I can already tell Kingpin is gonna be the star of the show.

Her character and actress were pretty bad in Hawkeye. Can't imagine anyone cares about this if people aren't even watching Loki.

Most people are going to just be there for Kingpin and Daredevil which is completely understandable.
