It seems like the VR space is ripe for opportunity for devs where mainstream gaming seems like its way more saturated and harder to find success.

VR still hasn't become big with the mainstream and it doesn't look like that's going to change soon. Last I checked, they still haven't solved the problem that moving around in VR makes a lot of people motion sick.

And it will remain niche as long as there aren't many VR games (as in games where VR actually adds to the experience, not that 'making a 3D version of every release' bs). I had a Quest 2 and it wasn't so much motion sickness but having that bulky shit on my face. After 10 minutes I found it unbearable even with the deluxe strap. Luckily it was during the 90 day holiday window so I tried it for a couple months and send it back.

There's just not a demand for it. PC community has gotten bigger since streaming made it more popular but it's still not as big as console gaming. Even among the PC gaming crowd people who own a VR headset are still in the minority. ... Copied to Clipboard!
