Phrasing. Still, not surprising that John Laurinaitis is a real life prick too. As for Flair, maybe Teddy does still have some respect for Flair as a performer or something? Laryngitis is nowhere near that level. The only person who ever liked him was Mrs. Baba for whatever reason.

You can make a devils advocate case for him.

He was in the heat position. Having to tell wrestlers they're fired or getting a paycut or need to lose weight. A lot of guys talk about that when he fired them he helped them get booking in Japan using his connections so they weren't left in the cold.

JJ Dillon and Jim Ross also got shit on in those roles. People forget that. Also the fact he was a Dynamic Dude pretty much cemented that no wrestlers respect him.

I mean any wrestler who was hired by WWE in that time period, was hired by Johnny Ace. So if you like any of them, he's to thank.

But yeah it's hard to find stories of good things about him
