Every fighter in Street Fighter history as part of the playable roster.

Including the Arika-designed cast from the EX games.

Maybe if they used AI to help balance what would otherwise be an unfathomable task. But I'd be down for it, even if I'd rather not have the EXers.

This is near the top of my list of games of "games that will actually never get made but I would probably explode if they did"

Not helping things is that obviously, as they make more and more games this just gets harder and harder. Even if we already had it so SF4, SF5 and SF6 all looked like each other and thus assets from all three could be easily put into one game (and thus you get to cover a lot of characters for a baseline) you have a several characters from the first one and SF3 missing.

Yoshinori Ono actually wanted to do this, but could never make it happen before he left Capcom.

How would Nintendo vs Capcom play?
Lots of Nintendo's big characters are really short so they'd be really unfun to fight against in a typical 2D fighter.

I mean, MvC3 had Arthur, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, and Rocket Raccoon in it; they could pull it off.

Ideally, I'd like to see them do what they did (or tried to do) with the Tekken crossover. Nintendo heads up the development of their side which plays like Smash Bros., while Capcom develops their side which is a 2D tag-fighter.

There's a lot of street fighter 1 guys that haven't been seen since. Of all the ones cut from SF2, Birdie & Adon are the only one that's been added back since.

I would prefer Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat, although Capcom will never greenlight it.

The game was never formally cancelled and Harada said relatively recently that he hasn't given up on it, but we're well over a decade since it was announced and almost nothing has been done with it since.

They probably could. Maybe just make everyone's light normals knock Pikachu and Kirby slightly off the ground so they're at the right height to be hit by the rest of the combo. Kinda like Smash.

But also, now that I think of it a lot of the Nintendo characters don't talk. There might not be a lot of fun interactions/win quotes between characters. If that meant a bunch of Xenoblade 1 characters though, I wouldn't mind.

The topic creator is right, Street Fighter has never developed their 'Armageddon' like Mortal Kombat did. Meanwhile SNK is over here like "been there, done that."

I'm just happy Geese Howard and Rugal are finally on the same roster in King of Fighters 15. Now we need a moment where Geese chucks Akuma off the screen and gets a memorable theme song out of it. (^-^)
