I feel like this time of year, COD ads are inescapable.

I literally forgot and had no idea a new one was coming until there was a commercial for it during football last night.

One thing I noticed about it that worries me is the fact that the commercial was like, 95% IRL people just talking and standing (I had it muted) with combat vests and stuff like that. Leads me to believe there is like, nothing good that they want to promote about it if they were that scared to show the actual game.

Granted, I haven't actually bought a COD game since I think Black Ops 1 (though I played shitloads of Warzone), so I wasn't exactly seeking out information on the new release.

That said, is it doomed to fail, or are they not bothering spending money on marketing because they know the annual drones will buy it anyways?

I know this isnt entirely true marketing is still important and yadda yadda but its CoD. It basically sells itself.

Everyone who wanted it has likely already played the beta and watched streamers and youtubers playing around with it. Were probably hitting a point where just giving out a few hundred copies to all the top streamers and handing out beta codes is a better ad campaign then spending millions on actual ads.
