Dumey, I almost claimed Miller last game even though i thought i wouldn't scan guilty until i accessed dtc, not beforehand. But regardless, any intelligent player being told "hey you scan as not solo queue to an alignment scanner" would probably interpret that as equivalent to Miller, and claim as much without the extra verbosity in their first post.

This is the point. If the traits work the way I think they work, I DO NOT THINK Red was told that. I think it is far more likely a Miller in this game would have got a passive trait that says something like, "wow everyone always thinks you're a monster, even though you're the protagonist of your own story, tee hee!"

That's why I've made 7+ posts bolding the word explicit because that's the key component in this mess.

I hate this kind of analysis because the only way to properly question your theory is to ask you what your traits are or cross-reference with my own and divulge. Your thoughts on red are premised on information you shouldnt share and which we shouldnt be asking you about.

So while I appreciate where you are coming from, the discussion is a fucking minefield of trying to avoid people talking about their roles lest they give up too much.

I dont think you meant to benefit scum or are scum by bringing it up, but until we have a flip its a very risky angle. Too much ambiguous information right now.

This one, King? We've had a LOT of discussion about traits since then, and I've clarified why I wanted to poke around them a bit more. Knowing what we know about how active traits are explicitly spelled out, but passive traits may not be explicitly spelled out, does that make you curious about Red's confident Miller claim, even though Miller is something that would probably be classified as passive, and not have an explicit "You are guilty to scanners" message associated with it?
Even if you don't agree with the conclusion I eventually came to, is it so odd that knowing that I have a trait I'm confused about whether or not is flavor or passive, does that make sense why I was interested in asking questions of a Miller?

I just feel like we've had SO much conversation about these topics that it's strange that your opinion wouldn't have updated at all so far.

I mean in that very post you quoted I say I dont have a problem with exploring the miller claim itself but I felt a scummy energy from you in the process. Might sound dumb but its the same thing I picked up on in fantasy novel mafia.

The way Red nondescript claimed miller immediately make me think of Eden Ring, a game in which he quickly claimed miller as miller-power. I had Red pegged as miller power very quickly in that game, and instantly in this game. It's part of why I found Dumey fishing him to be so noxious to me. It felt like scum who also pegged him as power trying to fish what the power was.

Yep that's why I said we wait for D3 or 4, and i wasnt asking anyone to come out and say anything about their own roles.

Yeah... I could have just stayed quite but I had the nagging in my head but what if he is lying!

I am very confused by how your top line pertains to voting Ulti now.

The biggest issue with that Brohan post it is explains virtually nothing and there's no followup to fill in the holes.

Biggest thing is vibes telling me hes lying. The vast majority of the time in mafia liars are scum. Worst case scenario if he was a mislynch, the last game he lied as town had town totally in the weeds and it was a detriment anyway. But whats tipping the scale now is I feel like hes scum specifically.

I went back and re-read the first half of t1. Ulti was pocketing/buttering people up like crazy more than Ive ever seen him do as town.

1.054 - SBell, Crescent, IGCD, and probably Red are all lock town because I too had the same reaction. Am I a survivor or what? WTF does my role even do?

And town is far, far more willing to have those types of vibes off the cuff than scum is. Scum would wait and check reactions before jumping in and asking e is going on. Being able to green check SBell early especially is always nice.
