It continued through The Osmonds, 90s boy bands, Bieber and Beyonce. The amount of anger that Taylor Swift induces merely by releasing well-made pop songs and being a generally decent human being says more about her detractors than it does about her. I get it. I was a furious music snob as a teen, who would sneer at anything I deemed 'popular' or 'manufactured'.
