Decent list. There are definitely a few that are some of my favorites that would probably make my own list were I to make one.

we have incredibly different taste in 80s music
the only two artists on there that might make my cut are madonna and tears for fears, but not for either of the songs you listed
dont wanna think about it a lot, but my list would have prince, bowie, depeche mode, new order, smiths, bauhaus, nine inch nails, sisters of mercy, echo and the bunnymen, stone roses, and other edgy shit

the only song of yours i don't like tho is the flock of seagulls one. i think the only song of theirs i like is spaceage lovesong

I'm not arguing against you, we all like what we like but in the case of someone like nine inch nails while they do qualify their debut album didn't come out until the end of October of 1989. It's safe to say most people didn't follow them until the 90's. They really aren't that associated with the 80's at all. No band would be when their first album was only released like 2 months before the end of the decade.
