For an anime based smash clone, this game is barebones as hell

18 characters across all 3 series is a joke and I'm not a fan of the health bar system being this tug of war shit, it's fun it short bursts tho

To be fair, Dragon Ball, imo, is also a joke of itself now. One Piece is that rare Shonen Jump series that can consistently keep their quality up there. Naruto was a decent enough replacement because the west normally prefers Ninjas or Pirates.

I was interested in this game way back when, but yeah, the health system is some stupid shit.

That said, too bad it never got a sequel. Years ago, I envisioned it being "Battle Stadium B.O.N.D.", throwing Bleach into the equation.

Also, it says that there are English voices, but they didn't show them off in that video in the OP.

As a teen who was really into Action Shonen Jump series and got active in the community at the time, we all were thinking the same thing. The closets thing you're going to get for that is either Jump Superstar or Jump Ultimate Stars for the DS. Infinitely better game, but seriously broken as hell.

Yep. I have both of those games as well. It really is a shame that they never made a third one. The later JUMP games play completely differently and vary in quality (with JUMP Force being the worst of them all).

Good lord how many years did it take for a complete fan translation for this game?

One piece was once the joke (In America anyway) now all is right in the world.
