Talking Pictures TV Encore - great. Lots of old films, with various genres. Very interesting service. And it's free!

Netflix - excellent. Tons of good and great films, with films from dozens of countries and in a bunch of genres. Only weakness is the strong focus on modern films, from the 1990s onwards.

Amazon Video - very good. Quite a lot of good content.

Amazon Freevee - very good. Plenty of good films, and some good variety.

Thoughts? Also, what do you think of other streaming services?

I only have Netflix and it's okay (I'd give it a 6/10), though could be so much better. Perhaps the US version has a larger library. So often I'll be wanting to see a particular film, but it's only available in other countries.

Haven't had any experiences with the others. Cruchyroll does sound a bit appealing.

Id like Netflix a lot more if they werent constantly trying to crack down on VPN use.

I've only had Amazon Prime and Netflix (and Disney Plus but my girlfriend paid for that)

We've cancelled all of them and lost nothing.

With the price hike and ads, they really don't provide any entertainment you can't get from Youtube or video games.

I feel like Netflix has fallen off when it comes to high quality shows and they're just going for quantity over quality.

On the other hand, most others don't have enough quantity to warrant constant subscription instead of just getting it for a month or two and going over the shows you want to see.

I've got HBO...ugh, MAX included with my cable subscription and I'd say it's a must buy for everyone who hasn't seen all the classic HBO shows.

Hard to really judge or recommend streaming services on whatever random movies they rotate month to month. Like 70% of the stuff I might have watched on Netflix over the years is simply not on there anymore. Mainly because anything worth watching eventually gets yanked to a different streaming service.

Has Netflix ever not been about quantity over quality? Dont get me wrong, theyve made some good shows over the years, but if you make as many as they have, thats bound to happen.

Netflix used to be great but they fell off when they started focusing on licensing bargain bin crap so they could slap the N on it to look like they made more stuff.

I never get either of those kinds of ads on Hulu.

I can't imagine what it is about all their original content and popular movies that screams DICK PILLS and GAMBLING. Never gambled despise gambling and surely never watched something about a carrot penis disorder either LMFAO.

They don't use browsing info.

Anyways I googled it before and found out some people were pissed they got rid of a way to change the ads you see. Seeing as how I know this happens to other people. Now you apparently have to contact them directly which I never feel like bothering with.

Finally a streaming service that understands me.

Give shudder a try. They have a lot of good titles and put out some great stuff of their own.

Warning about Shudder.

I have Shudder and it is AMAZING. A bit of a let down that it only maxes at 720p though.

The bigger problem is AMC+ annual is actually the same price possibly cheaper and it contains the ENTIRE Shudder library as well as its own along with some IFC bonus. The sad part is they don't have a console app which is why I use Shudder instead. Also their app interface is said to be shit.

Max for a lot of their classic HBO original shows and some decent Animated show selections.
